Backyard Harvest 2011

It's harvest time in the backyard! The grapes did really well this year, the kids love eating them fresh off the vine. Pole beans have been fun to watch grow, and of course eat for dinner. One of the best surprises has been oregano, it's a really hearty ground cover, and great to cook with. We did basil again this year which did reasonably well.

The rest of the crops (corn, strawberry, squash, tomato, peppers) had pretty minimal yield compared to last year, mostly due to my lack of attention (Mark here).

Aubrina and Robby are helping me start some new trees from seed in our kitchen planter pots, I'm looking forward to nursing them into full-size trees.

Fun times!

Pizza Party at School!

Last Thursday, Aubrina's classroom had a pizza party for all the children and their families. The kids had so much fun! We also brought Grandma Kathy, Auntie Jen and Auntie Amy along for the ride.

Thanks to Auntie Jen for the awesome pics!
