Visit with Great Grandma and Gramps

We spent such a nice day with my Grandma and Grandpa today! The kids
and I went to their house this morning for a visit, and the kids loved
playing with the dog, Brandy. Robby made himself at home opening every
cabinet and drawer he could reach.

Next we went to the park down the street. We had fun playing on the
slides and swings. When we had worked up a nice appetite, we sat down
for lunch (while Robby snoozed for a bit). Then it was back to the
house for more playing and helping Grandpa get his computer back up
and running.

We all had so much fun and it was hard to say goodbye. Aubrina fell
asleep before we even got to the freeway, which tells me she had fun
too. :)

Thanks for having us over, Grandma and Grandpa! I hope we didn't wear
you out. :) We love you!!!

Aubrina's Art in the Google Art Exhibit

Here is the blog post I've been dying to write! Tomorrow is the opening of the Google Children's Center Art Exhibit, featuring the work of none other than Aubrina Scianna!

The theme of the exhibit is "A Sense of Place." Aubrina's work is the second row from the top - you can see her inspiration (the picture of the bike), her first drawing, and then her final piece with color. As you can see, all the kids did such a great job, and it's kind of amazing work for 2 year olds!

So proud of you, Aubrina!!

Is it Pink or Purple?

Last night's dinner conversation with the little miss went something like this:

(a Pink song comes on in the background)
Aubrina: Who is that singing?
Me: That's Pink singing.
Aubrina: But what is her name?
Me: Her name is Pink. It's confusing because it's her name but it's also a color.
Aubrina: Oh. Her name is not Pink. It's Purple and I call her Goo Goo Gaga.

I think she must have been referring to Lady Gaga? I don't know, but I can only assume so because then she started talking about Goo Goo Gaga songs.

Kids these days, they grow up so fast!
