Aubrina's birthday

Aubrina had her 2nd birthday last Monday. We celebrated with a party
at our house with family and a few of her friends on the Saturday
before. We had a bouncy house, and Aubrina had such a good time. She
would probably live in the bouncy house if she could.

On Monday, her actual birthday, her teachers and friends from school
threw her a party. They made her banana bread and I made pumpkin cake
to share. Here are some pictures of the kids enjoying their treats!

Birthday celebrations and deep conversations

Today was Aubrina's 2nd birthday! We had a little celebration at school with banana bread and pumpkin bars. Her friends even made her a piece of art to hang in her bedroom. It was fun!

On the way home she couldn't stop talking. She was talking about her water cup, how Robby had fallen asleep and she knew that because his eyes were closed, and about how her shoes were wet. Then we had an awesome conversation that made me laugh. It went like this:

Me: I can't reach your water cup right now because I'm driving. We'll have to wait until we get home.

Aubrina: Robby's driving.

Me: Is Robby driving?

Aubrina: Nooooo. Brina driving.

Me: Is Aubrina driving?

Aubrina: Nooooo. Elmo driving.

Me: Is Elmo driving?

Aubrina. Nooooo. Mommy driving.

Me: Is Mommy driving?

Aubrina: Yes!

What a crack up. Happy Birthday, Aubrina, I can't believe you're already 2!

Inchworm

Robby is mobile, but not quite crawling. I think he's holding out until he can stand, since every time I try to sit him down he pushes up onto his feet. :) Well, instead of crawling he's mastered what I call the 'inchworm' - he'll get up on all fours and then lunge forward onto his chest. He can move pretty fast!

Kisses

She takes good care of her little brother. Until she runs over him with her play shopping cart like she did this morning... but he's pretty tough and soon he'll start fighting back. Anyway, just thought these pics from school were cute. :)
