Asserting Her Independence

Aubrina got new big girl panties yesterday. Of course she thought they
were so cool that he didn't want to hide them under her clothes, so
she wears them over her pants.

Then she wanted to put her shoes on by herself. She was successful!
The shoe is on the wrong foot, but I couldnt break that to her yet. I
just told her how proud I was that she put her shoe on by herself :)

We love FaceTime!

TV Time

Aubrina has discovered a few shows that she loves: Dora the Explorer,
Spongebob Squarepants, and Elmo on Sesame Street. She'd watch TV all
day if I let her.

We usually go through the same routine: she asks to watch Dora, I say
Dora is not on right now. She asks to watch Elmo, I suggest to play a
game instead. She asks to watch Spongebob, and I start getting a
puzzle out to play with.

But today she added a new one to the list - News! This girl cracks me up!

Sibling Love

Aubrina has gotten much more hands-on with her brother, in a good way. She's starting to learn the limits of what she can and can't do with him. Robby is also becoming more and more interactive, which Aubrina is just eating up. Here they are, at 22 months and 5 months.

Robby Eating Solid Food

The time has come for Robby to start eating solids. At exactly 4 months old he started getting jealous any time we would eat. The video below is his very first taste of solid foods.

Now at 5 months, he's still on rice cereal because of his sensitive tummy, but that hasn't stopped him from wanting to eat! Now he knows that when he goes in the high chair, it's time to eat. He talks in between every bite, telling me to give him more, and faster Mommy!

A day at Happy Hollow

This week Mark's Aunt Jere and cousins Randy and Dawn came to visit
with their kids Dalton and Abby. Dalton is 2 and Abby is 1 so they're
the perfect playmates for Aubrina.

On Thursday we all went to Happy Hollow. The kids LOVED it! Aubrina's
favorite part was the kiddie car ride. It was police cars and fire
trucks. The first time she rode together with Abby. Abby got a little
scared, so Aubrina comforted her by patting her back. The second time,
they rode separately, and Aubrina rode in a fire truck. She loved
ringing the bell.

It's been a fun week! We also went to Jackson to see Grandma Drew and
Uncle Rick. Next I'll post pictures and videos from that trip!
